Ask anyone on the Iris staff, it’s Lindsey’s unique voice that remains with them, the words are always alive, breathing off the page. Lindsey says she has little writing experience, but between you and me, she’s just being modest. 

We’re an interesting pair: two people tired from the week, yet talking about writing on our night off. But for Jordan Coleman... writing is a passion—an art form and a creative muscle she likes to stretch in her free time. And so, on our night off, we talk about fantasy, poetry, and vulnerability.

Maybe writing is, I don't know, like a good sister.

As writers, we cannot leave little details like this alone. We are the instigators of the world, attributing meaning to everything. Rightfully so, because this is how we get to the heart of issues that matter. Cheyenne uncovers the lingering truth to a mysterious break up that leaves you wondering…what happened there?

To be honest, I was quaking in my boots over writing this feature. Miriella Jiffar is far from a scary person, but doing her talent justice is quite a scary feat. 

Behind every lyrical and poetic genius, however, is a growing writer that had to start somewhere too.

It might seem “obvious” to Eryn that she wouldn’t get the prestigious internship, but anyone familiar with her work knows she’s going places.

Returning to Grounds as a fourth year, I feel as though life is moving too fast and has suddenly gotten away from me.

One thing about me? I take birthdays very seriously. One birthday in particular, actually—mine.
